  Commonly to say that lasik surgery is safe, but some people do suffer complications after the surgery. Some peolpe are troubled with dry eye, pain, blurry vision or have not been able to drive at night because of problems with glare.

• Can prescription sunglasses be orange?

  Of course you can. you can get it tinted to any color you want.Orange is a nice color to protect your eyes from UV rays.

• Why do people still wear sunglasses even when it is not sunny outdoors?

  There are two reasons why do people wear sunglasses even it is not sunny outdoors.Even if the sunlight is not so strong, there is still noticeable UV radiations which can cause cataracts. Some people wear it just for fashion.

• Why the doctors who perform lasik surgery still wear glasses?

  They just don't want to take any risk of lasik surgery complications. For the Opthamologists, eyes are more important than any part of their body, they care much of their eyes, any complications would let him/her lose the job/ career. That is why they still wear glasses.

• Can you have Lasik surgery on your eyes twice?

  It depends on your corneal thickness, Because the curing of your nearsightedness during the lasik surgery is to remove tissue to reshape your corneas, so that you can see the far part. So if there is enough tissue left to remove safely, you can do the surgery again. But iit is not recommended to do so, you 'd better go to your doctos to have your eyes checked to see if there isn't any pathological changes in your eyes.

• How does the lens thickness affect the look and fitness of glasses?

  The higher the prescription, the higher index is required for the lenses. Selecting a higher index will ensure your lenses are as light and thin as possible. This will improve the overall look (by being thinner) and comfort (by being lighter) of your eyeglasses if you are significantly nearsighted or farsighted. But for your power it is OK to choose 1.57 index lenses. Your power is read as you are near sighted, OD stands for the right eye while OS stands for the left eye. Your power for your right eye is -1.50, left eye: -1.25. CYL, cylinder is the diopters degree of the astigmatism which is showed as the middle value in your prescription, Right eye CYL: -0.50 Left eye CYL: -2.50 Axis is a number between 0-180 meaning the orientation of your astigmatism which is showed as the last number in your prescription. Axis for right eye:140, Axis for left eye:76.There is no sign before this number. ADD means near additon which is used for making single vision reading glasses, computer glasses, bifocal & progressive eyeglasses.

• Can I use hard contacts prescriptions for soft contacts?

  You'd better not.The specific prescription is customized to a specific type of contact lenses.So the prescription of this kind of contacts cannot be used for another type of contact lenses.Just follow your doctor's recommendations.
