• Is it safe for me to wear the torn contacts?

  No, you cannot wear torn contacts, even for one day. The contacte may not only make you miserable, but also make the tear film of your eyes scratched. I suggesy you wear your eyeglasses instead.

• Can the flu cause vision problems?

  Headache are one of the symptoms of flu, but your vision problem may be cause by the attack of the flu virus or if you are allergic to some of the medication that you take for the flu. Go and check it at your eye doctor.

• Why does my vision become very blurred in some strenuous activities?

  Strenuous activities may not be the cause of your blurry vision. It may be caused by some other eye diseases or improper use of eyes. You may go to your eye doctor and have your eyes carefully checked.

• Can I mix up the contact lenses for left and right eyes?

  If you don't have other eye diseases in either eyes, or you always ues your eyes in the proper way, it is OK to mix up contact lenses for left and right eyes, otherwise, mixed up contact lenses will cause cross infection of eye diseases or other eye infections.

• Can I use my contact lens prescription to buy my eyeglasses?

  The answer is definitly NO. Eyeglasses are usually placed at about 12 millimeters away from the eye while the contact lenses are placed directly on the tear film of the eye, the prescription on the contact lenses should be less nearsighted than that of eyeglasses. You can go to your eye doctor to have your eyes checked to see the exact difference.

• Is vision insurance necessary for young chilren?

  If your child is not with current vision issues or you don't have a family history of vision problems, vision insurance is usually not needed for 3- and 4-year-olds since they only visit the optometrist once or twice during those years.

• Can I use old lenses from to fit my new frame?

  Probably, you can do it like this, but you should carefully choose the frame that can fit your lenses well. The frame only holds the lenses and the lens is mounted in such a way that the centering is exact to your iris.Otherwise, the lenses may pop out or give you an unclear vision. It is much easier for you to get another new pair of glasses.

• Can I use the copy of my eyeglass prescription which was issued by my doctor 3 years ago?

  You'd better not, It is strongly suggested to use your eyeglass prescription in the most recent 2 years. Actually Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) suggest an eye exam each six months or one year to detect any possible eye diseases in the earlier stage.
