In the Alden, optometrists can be found in the vicinity of a chain optical retail store, or in an independent optometrist's office. Optometrists are trained to address both vision refractive errors and eye health. Many optometrists sell high-end eyeglasses and contact lenses in their practices with the most professional possible services in addition to performing eye exams and writing prescriptions. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors (MD) in the eye care and vision health who perform eye exams, write prescription for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, diagnose and treat eye diseases and carry out eye surgery. Ophthalmologist's responsibility is much beyond that of optometrist.

  • Maybe you should use some good-quality cosmetic which will stay firmly on your face no matter what happens .

  • The lasik surgery is operated by eye doctor using delicate instrument and various solutions.Your eyes are asked to be focused on a fixed place during the procedures, if you move, the laser will stop automatically.

  • A numbing drop will be placed in your eye, the area around your eye will be cleaned, and an instrument called a lid speculum will be used to hold your eyelids open.Your doctor may use a mechanical microkeratome (a blade device) to cut a flap in the cornea. If a mechanical microkeratome is used, a ring will be placed on your eye and very high pressures will be applied to create suction to the cornea.Your vision will dim while the suction ring is on and you may feel the pressure and experience some discomfort during this part of the procedure. The microkeratome, a cutting instrument, is attached to the suction ring. Your doctor will use the blade of the microkeratome to cut a flap in your cornea. Microkeratome blades are meant to be used only once and then thrown out. The microkeratome and the suction ring are then removed.Your doctor may use a laser keratome (a laser device), instead of a mechanical microkeratome, to cut a flap on the cornea. If a laser keratome is used, the cornea is flattened with a clear plastic plate. Your vision will dim and you may feel the pressure and experience some discomfort during this part of the procedure. Laser energy is focused inside the cornea tissue, creating thousands of small bubbles of gas and water that expand and connect to separate the tissue underneath the cornea surface, creating a flap. The plate is then removed. You will be able to see, but you will experience fluctuating degrees of blurred vision during the rest of the procedure. The doctor will then lift the flap and fold it back on its hinge, and dry the exposed tissue.

  • If you get lasik surgery before your vision be stable, your vision will continue to change even after the surgery. On that condition, you will have to wear glasses again, or do the lasik surgery again. If your cornea is thick enough, you can have the chance to do the lasik surgery, but if not, you don't have the chance, that is to say ,you have to wear glasses in your rest of life. Take a careful consideration before any lasik surgery.

  • It is almost the same in Europe, you are not qualified to get lasik surgery before 20 year old, for the vision is not stable, your vision could still change after the lasik surgery.

  • It is quite annoying for people with long eyelashes to wear sunglasses, they will they keep batting against the glasses. It is better for you to choose big sunglasses which can stay far away from the eyelashes. Try different type and styles to find the most comfortable one.

  • As we know, eye dry is one of the complications after the lasik surgery. You'd better have your dry eyes cured before the surgery is done or have your eyes check and get some specific suggestions from your doctor.

  • Compare photos of the sunglasses to photos from the designer's official website. If you notice any variations between the two, the sunglasses in question are not authentic.
