Optometrists are trained to address both vision refractive errors and eye health. Many optometrists sell high-end eyeglasses and contact lenses in their practices with the most professional possible services in addition to performing eye exams and writing prescriptions. • Some tinted contact lenses can reduce glare or light sensitivity by reducing the amount of light entering the eye. Some contact lenses can be provided with an ultraviolet (UV) filter. However, these lenses are not a replacement for ultraviolet (UV) filtering sunglasses. Also remember that contact lenses with UV filters may only protect the cornea and retina. They do not protect the conjunctiva, the eyelids and other outer portions of the eye.

  • It should depend on the place you are and the doctor you see. Usually it could range anywhere from $50-$100. You can go to their website to schedule an eye exam online and consult the cost.

  • You can go to your nearby pharmacy and ask. Some eye drops are designed to use with contacts. But it is better to ask for your doctor's advice before using them.

  • You can do it but there may be a higher risk to get lasik surgery. If you insist to have the surgery, you should choose an experience surgeon and know all the risk of it. In my opinion, I would not suggest you to get lasik surgery. Glasses are not that bad.

  • Anti-reflection coating are usually added to the uncut lenses, and then they are made according to the frame shape. So there is no way to add it to the already cut lens, you need to order new lenses with anti-refection coating.

  • It should depend on the lenses you have and how the tint is added to the sunglasses. In some cases it is possible to bleach the tint out if the lenses are plastic and are not coated with and anti-reflection coating. You can take them to your local optician and ask if they can do this for you.

  • It is just like you wear bigger size shoes than you usually wear. It would not harm your eyes, but you will feel uncomfortable. Glasses in wrong prescription just can't correct your vision very well but it is better than none.

  • The most benefit of high index lenses is they are much thinner and lighter than standard lenses. You will feel more comfortable and have clearer view with them But they are much expensive than regular lenses.
