In the Atlantic, optometrists can be found in the vicinity of a chain optical retail store, or in an independent optometrist's office. Optometrists are trained to address both vision refractive errors and eye health. Many optometrists sell high-end eyeglasses and contact lenses in their practices with the most professional possible services in addition to performing eye exams and writing prescriptions. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors (MD) in the eye care and vision health who perform eye exams, write prescription for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, diagnose and treat eye diseases and carry out eye surgery. Ophthalmologist's responsibility is much beyond that of optometrist.

  • Since you had an eye exam not long ago, there is no necessary to get a new exam. But should take your prescription paper that you have had when you go to buy coloered contacts.

  • Go to Firmoo, they offer 300 stylish selected frames, all of them are in high quality but at quite affordable price. They also offer free glasses to first-time customer, I just get mine free last week, almost the same quality with my last pair from eye doctor cost me $300. I love Firmoo. • If your child is not with current vision issues or you don't have a family history of vision problems, vision insurance is usually not needed for 3- and 4-year-olds since they only visit the optometrist once or twice during those years.

  • It is quite common to have different powers in different eyes and you can get contact lenses with different presctiption for different eyes too, but make sure never wear contacts for left eye on your right eye, contacts for eight eye on your left eye, otherwise, your vision will be effected.

  • You can take your glasses to the local optical store and find the lenses are fittable for your old frames, then ask the optician to process it for you, but I think some of them are unwilling to do so for they will take a risk of breaking your old lenses when getting them out and putting new lenses in. Actually, it is also hard to find lenses that are available for your old frames, the best way to slove your problem is to buy another pair of glasses.

  • Probably, you can do it like this, but you should carefully choose the frame that can fit your lenses well. The frame only holds the lenses and the lens is mounted in such a way that the centering is exact to your iris.Otherwise, the lenses may pop out or give you an unclear vision. It is much easier for you to get another new pair of glasses.

  • PD stands for Pupillary Distance, which is the distance between your pupils in millimeters, Your PD is very important for accurately fitting your lenses to achieve vision acuity. 1. PD (OU), written as ""62"", means the Binocular PD which is for both eyes. 2. PD (OD), means the Monocular PD for the right eye, PD (OS), means the Monocular PD for the left eye, A Monocular OD is written as two numbers, for example ""32/30"", ""32"" represents the PD for the right eye, and ""30"" for the left eye. 3. Sometimes PD is written as ""62/59"" or they are labeled ""Far"" and ""Near"". Your PD is usually measured for distance vision, which is 'Far PD"", or ""62"" in this example. For reading glasses, doctors measure your ""Near PD"" or ""59"" in the example. 4. Always enter your ""Far PD"" for distance vision eyeglasses and enter your 'Near PD"" for your reading glasses only. For most people, the difference between Far PD and Near PD is about 2-3mm. Source: http://www.firmoo.com/help-p-30.shtml

  • Yes, stress is one of the causes of blurry vision and dizziness. Just as stress causes tension in your neck and shoulder muscles, stress can also cause tension in your eye muscles, which reduces the automatic eye movements and interferes with your ability to focus.
