Beware of the blatant overbooking of appointment times. We have had to wait 1.5 to 3 hours beyond our scheduled appointment times. Multiple patient are made to set in the waiting room, all of whom are conmplainng of the same extreme wait time. The staff actually think patients should be happy to wait only 1.5 hours beyond the appointment time. The surgeon do seem to be very capable but the lack of repect for their patients is frustrating....

  • Bifocal glasses are usually needed by people over 40 who are nearsighted and have presbyopia at the same time.Due to the eye muscles degeneration as they old, their eyes lose the elasticity of seeing both near and far.So they need the bifocals to help correct their vision.

  • People who have strong prescription don't necessarily need bifocals, they just need the single vision glasses.Bifocal glasses are used for people who need two different strengths of lenses, especially for those who have presbyopia and myopia at the same time.

  • Bifocal lenses have two different areas that is used to correct both nearsightedness and presbyopia. And a line is visible in the bifocal lens. While varifocal lenses do not have a line where the two prescriptions meet and can correct the vision for mid-range or arm's-length , so you can use varifocal glasses to see computer.

  • It is much less common for children to wear bifocals, but if you are nearsighted have problems in close work such as reading, you may need bifocals .

  • Surely you can.The prescription for bifocal or single vision glasses are same. But if you want to get contacts, you need a different one.

  • If you feel good wearing mono vision contacts,I can't see the reason why you can't.

  • No,they can't help you slow down the myopia, they can only help you correct your vision when reading or working on a computer, but they can't do the job(reading and working on a computer)at the same time. You'd better get progressive glasses which can enable you to see far, middle and near.

  • Make sure the prescription is correct.Maybe you are not get used to them.Try to increase the time of wearing them gradually and you may get used to them soon.
