I went to the eye doctor located inside of vision works on 2/2012. Apparently they are supposed to be independent of vision works but I am reviewing both. I was only supposed to get an eye glasses exam but when the doctor called me back she began asking me what type of contacts I wear, then she proceeded to ask what my current prescription was. I told her and she went in the back gave me the prescription with out even doing a formal contact exam. Then the office charged me 80$ for a contact exam I never got. I was very upset seeing that I told them I only needed a glasses exam. Then when I went to pick up the glasses I ordered the prescription was not right and nobody seemed very interested in helping me. I will not be going back to this establishment....

I will not go back to Austin's. Most of the people are nice, but one person is very rude and tends to treat you like a child even though I have been wearing glasses for 40 years. VERY unhelpful....

  • It is possible to have prescription glasses tinted just like sunglasses. You can take your prescription glasses to your optical store where you bought them and ask them to tint your glasses. You just choose the color that you want and then they will tint your glasses according to your needs.

  • If your eyes get tired after reading a lot, you can stop to do some eye exercises to have your eyes relaxed. Doing eye exercises can strengthen the eye muscles and keep your eye healthy.

  • Aspheric contact lenses are prescription lenses for people with borderline astigmatism. Compared to regular contacts, they are much slimmer and flatter. So they are usually more expensive than regular contacts.

  • No. They have different purposes. Reading glasses are used to magnify at near distance. People with presbyopia use reading glasses to help them focus on the near objects. While computer glasses are designed for the distance from the eye to the screen so that people can feel comfortable to view the computer screen. Wearing computer glasses while using a computer can prevent the CVS.

  • NO,you can't use reading glasses to watch TV. Reading glasses are prescribed to correct near vision(the distance is about 10 inches). You need to get a separate pair of prescription glasses for distant view.

  • It is a little expensive for a pair of titanium eyeglasses to cost $1000. Generally titanium eyeglasses should cost no more than $500. But if it is a desinger one, it is normal for that price.

  • The redness is caused by the eye strain after you use your computer. I won't suggest you use eye drops to get rid of it. I think the best way is to take regular breaks during using the computer, which can make your eyes relax and relieve from the eye strain.

  • Yes. When you wear contacts for the first time, you may find uncomfortable in your eyes. It is quite normal to have that feeling because you need time to get used to them.
