Hanover, PA 17331-0142Although my husband has been pleased with Dr. Thurman, the professionalism and service from the staff is terrible. When following up after 3 weeks wait for his glasses, I was told someone would have to get back to me because they did not have the records for the York office. When asked couldn't they just check on the computer - I was told they did not have a computer! One of the staff also complained to me (after I questioned why my husband had not received a "follow up due" card, that they cut her hours, and she had not time to do this - so I guess that is why she is so grumpy and unprofessional on the phone. My husband will be switching to an eye professional who is aware of the technology available to run an office (like a computer!!!)...

Hanover,PA 17332I had two horrible experiences with this office. The first was when I brought my son to his appointment. The staff was unprofessional reviewing my insurance information with me...they were confused and the staff argued over my information among each other in front of my son and I.
The second experience was before I came in for my own visit. Ahead of time I faxed all of my previous records and information from my previous Doctor. I also hand delivered a copy of this same information during my son's visit. 2 days after my son's visit they called me unable to find any of my information that was faxed and hand delivered. I explained that I personally gave it to the "boy" at the front desk...I was told he was no longer with the practice and probably took all of my paperwork. WOW! HIPPA? Receptionist told me that I needed to sign another release for my previous Doctor and have all of my information re-faxed again. With my busy schedule and frustration I was unable to do this in... -
