In the Murrysville, optometrists can be found in the vicinity of a chain optical retail store, or in an independent optometrist's office. Optometrists are trained to address both vision refractive errors and eye health. Many optometrists sell high-end eyeglasses and contact lenses in their practices with the most professional possible services in addition to performing eye exams and writing prescriptions. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors (MD) in the eye care and vision health who perform eye exams, write prescription for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, diagnose and treat eye diseases and carry out eye surgery. Ophthalmologist's responsibility is much beyond that of optometrist.

  • The Air Force will pay for you to have Lasik Surgery, but you have to pay for the money to the specified medical center at first, then apply for fee of reimbursement, BTW, the lodging fee should be your own responsibility.

  • Whether they will clean your tinted prescription glasses or not, you should take good care of your glasses, eapecially those that cost you so much.

  • I also have a pair of tinted glasses.I never found the tint on my glasses fade away though I have worn them for many years.

  • It depends how high you prescription is. If you have a high prescription, you'd better not get rimless glasses because the lens with a high prescription is too thick. And if you are rough on your glasses, full frame glasses are a good choice for you. Rimless glasses need adjustment more often because the screws may loose easily. However, you can try them on and then decide which kind suit you best.

  • After lasik surgery, you should wait for 6 months so that your eyes have enough time to heal. Once your eyes are healed, you can visit your optometrist and let him check your eyes to see whether your eyes can wear contacts or not. Then take your doctor's advice.

  • If the lens is made of glass, then you can't remove the tints away.If it is plastic, you can heat the lens so that it ia warm enough to remove the tints and make the glasses less tinted.

  • If you have 20% grey tinted glasses, I think it won't affect the original color but the color may be not as bright as it's real color, especially when you are in bright sunlight. However it won't differ so much.

  • Tint glasses with good quality can't disappear automatically.Unless it has touched the corrosive liquid like alcohol, it won't fade away itself. You can take them to your optician and let them check out and explain it to you.
