Yale Eye Center is a full service optometric practice that provides diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, co-management of cataracts and lasik. We perform comprehensive visual exams that diagnose and treat computer vision syndrome and dry eye symptoms . We have a complete optical dispensary for your eyeware needs.
Our optical dispensary offers more than 600 high fashion frames at moderate pricing. Both of our opticians have over 30 years experience in adjusting and fitting eye wear. Every patient is given personal service in selecting frames that are both fashionable and comfortable.
We also have a comprehensive selection of contact lenses including soft and gas permeable lenses. We fit standard lenses as well as the more complex.

We have been serving the Heights and its surrounding area for over thirty years. Dr. Ullman has been at the Yale Eye Center since 1971.
Meet the Business Owner: Richard U.Dr. Ullman (O.D., Doctor of Optometry) is an independent primary health care provider who specializes in the examination, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eye and associated structures. He is uniquely qualified to deal with functional vision disorders and/or problems in visual processing which affect reading, computer use, and other aspects of learning, development and behavior. He is also specially trained in the diagnoses and management of glaucoma and other eye diseases.
He attended University of Houston, College of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Ullman enlisted in the Army and during his tour he was given a Certificate of Acheivement Award. Dr. Ullman continued his education to become a Glaucoma specialist and obtained his Theraputic License. He is a member of Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and Harris County Optometry Society. He is also a vice president for Eye Care for Kids.
