  It depends, which kind of contacts you need.I wear the astigmatism ones which cost me $96 for two boxes.They can be cheaper online.

  Of course the contacts should be removed first. If you take off the makeup first,the dirt may come into your eyes and adhere on the surface of contacts. Your eyes would get infected easily.

  For your prescription, it is not that necessary for you to wear glasses while watching TV, but if you really have problems while watching TV, you can buy yourself one which is only used for TV. It is possible that your vision will get worse if you wear glasses all the time.
