In the Moab, optometrists can be found in the vicinity of a chain optical retail store, or in an independent optometrist's office. Optometrists are trained to address both vision refractive errors and eye health. Many optometrists sell high-end eyeglasses and contact lenses in their practices with the most professional possible services in addition to performing eye exams and writing prescriptions. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors (MD) in the eye care and vision health who perform eye exams, write prescription for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, diagnose and treat eye diseases and carry out eye surgery. Ophthalmologist's responsibility is much beyond that of optometrist.

  • Yes.They are different. They are used for different distance, so you'd better not use the reading glasses for computer.Otherwise you will get headache and it may damage your vision.

  • Reading glasses can be made gold, acctually you can choose the color of frame you like (gold), and put the lenses of your prescription into the chosen frame. This will ensure you a pair of gold reading glasses.

  • You should check whether the lenses are comfortable and the nose bridge will hurt you. Then put the straps on to see whether the straps are too tight or too loose. If all of them are comfortable, you can get them then.

  • Of course you can. Some people will wear ski goggles not with a helmet but with a fashionable hat. But I should say a helmet is much safer than a hat. If you just go skiing, you'd better wear ski goggles with a helmet.

  • Spit or lick into your goggles. This can temporarily solve your problem and it is widely used for many people.

  • Use an anti-fog spray or put anti-fog coatings on the lenses of your swim goggles.

  • Wear new bifocals full-time to make yourself get used to new pair. Retrain yourself how to hold your head for close-up viewing. Change the head angle when eading books. Don't view things far away out of the bottom portion of the bifocals.

  • Non prescription glasses means you have perfect eyesight and have no need to correct your vision, that is, you don't have to need corrective lenses. So people wear non prscription glasses only for fashion purpose other than correct vision defects.
