If I could rate this place a ZERO, I would. I scheduled an appointment at this office for both my daughters and I 3 weeks ago. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was extremely polite and considerate although he did put me on hold for most of my lunch hour. I was impressed with his thoughtfulness at my daughters' ages and he suggested a late afternoon appointment so I didn't have to take them out of school too early. I was actually excited to see what this place was all about. I knew it was too good to be true.

We showed up for our appointments and were already turned off by the over crowded super tiny waiting room. So crowded that the three of us had to squeeze through a door we could only open a few inches because someone was standing on the other side. I maneuver through the way too narrow walkway to the way too small hallway that the front desk is situated in (probably not even 10 feet back from the front...

  • Generally speaking, long-term wearing glasses will not increase your prescription. If your power is below +/-2.00, it is not necessary to wear eyeglasses for long hours, but if your power is beyond that, you are suggested to wear it always. If you protect your eyes carefully and pay much attention to eye health, take your glasses off to have rest after several hours weaing and massage the eye strain places, blink you eyes frequently..., The RX power should be kept to a balanced value.

  • The power of contacts can be calculated from that of glasses. Here is a formula :Fo=Fs/(1-dFs).The Fo means your power of your contacts and Fs means the power of glasses.dFs means the distance between rear vertex of glasses and your cornea.Usually the dFs should be measured by meter and it is 0.012m for easterners. For example, the RX of glasses is -4.00,the dFs is 0.012m,we can know that your RX for contacts should be -3.82,but this result is not a regular RX,so we choose the proximal and a lower number , it should be -3.75 . Hope these can help. But even if you can make out the RX,you still need an eye exam for contacts.

  • If your prescription is within the expiration time, you can use your old prescription, but make sure ADD number is on your prescription which is specially needed for reading glasses. If not, you should go and to have your eyes examined again to get a new prescription and tell your doctor this pair is for reading glasses.

  • There are a several grades of "thin" lens that look like normal lenses. You can choose the high index lenses that can make your lens much thinner ,but usually they are more expensive, but worth it. Any optical shop will have them. Just ask!

  • This varies from different places. The highest rx I've seen was about -15, but I'm sure there are higher numbers out there. You can go to your eye doctor to have your exact prescription and ask them if they offer glasses special for your prescription.

  • I don't think the solution can prolong the life of your contacts. They are only used to clean and disinfect the contacts.Whether it can last long depends on the material properties of the lens itself ,the patient's physiology and the users' care to them.

  • I think the most important difference is sport sunglasses can stay on your head firmly when you are doing physical activity such as running, playing basketball etc while regular sunglasses may fall off. Also the sports sunglasses have a better resistance to external hit to protect your eyes.

  • Of course they can . It is not hard to find that the majority of sunglass models are full frame ones, because sun glasses are basically expected to cover the whole part of the eyes. But semi rimless sunglasses make it a reality to show more facial natural beauty while ensuring enough UV protection.
