- Do you have any of the following problems?
-
What does the base curve mean in contact lenses?
Base curve in a contact lens means the curve of your eye. This number determines the size of your lens according to the shape and size of your eyes. Most base curves are shown as 8.0 to 9.5.
-
Can you wear contacts if your eyes are dilated?
The reason why eye doctors use dilation eye drops during eye examiations is to dilate the center of the eye so as to give doctors a better view of the back of patient's eyes. And this negetice effect would last only for several hours. Generally speaking, there is no problem to wear contact lenses soon after one got dilation drops in his eyes. But if the lenses are uncomfortable to wear or if the lens wearer is driving, he might have to wait and wear it when vision be back to normal.
-
Is it safe to use the yearly contact lenses?
It is best to wear daily disposable contacts, it is better to wear monthly disposable contacts and it is OK to wear yearly disposable contacts. If you maintain and clean them in proper way and clean your hands before wearing them, it is OK, Otherwise, yearly disposable contacts are much easier to be infected by the bacteria thus to cause eye diseases and infections.
-
Which place is better to get an eye exam,Lenscrafters,or Walmart ?
I think you may go to Lenscrafters, as Walmart is not normally recognized to save your wages for eye exams. If you have an insurance, it may cost you less for an eye exam.
-
Is it normal to feel blurry when wearing contacts?
No, it is abnormal. Make sure you didn't wear your contact lenses of the opposite side, maintain and clean them in proper way. If you can ensure all of these, then please take your lenses back to the place you bought them to check if they are prescribed accroding to your prescription or there isn't any scratches on them.
-
How do you find the lost contact lens without wearing glasses?
Don't walk around, just ask a friend of you to find it for you. As you don't have glasses at hand and if your power is strong, it is hard for your to find the lost contact lenses. Wear the other contact and get one more contact lenses is seemed to be a better method.
-
How often should I replace my glasses?
Generally an eyeglass prescription is effective for one year, somtimes longer. If your vision get worsening in both eyes or either eye, you should hava an eye examination, Then your doctor may check to see if you need a new pair of glasses or of there is other eye diseases that need requirment.
-
