In the Hales Corners, optometrists can be found in the vicinity of a chain optical retail store, or in an independent optometrist's office. Optometrists are trained to address both vision refractive errors and eye health. Many optometrists sell high-end eyeglasses and contact lenses in their practices with the most professional possible services in addition to performing eye exams and writing prescriptions. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors (MD) in the eye care and vision health who perform eye exams, write prescription for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, diagnose and treat eye diseases and carry out eye surgery. Ophthalmologist's responsibility is much beyond that of optometrist.

  • The easier way is to find them online. You don't need to shuttle your way from one store to another to find the satisfactory goggles. Just sitting in front of the computer and clicking the mouse would help you find them. Type "stylish basketball goggles" in google and you will find many.

  • Tricare will only cover routine eye exam in a year, the contact eye exam is not included. You can go to the TRICARE website to find more information about it.

  • It is really hard to choose as neither of them is a good choice for you. For me, I would choose contacts cuz the big goggles on my face would always stop me from moving freely and I can't see clearly through edge of the lens.

  • I think you are referring LENS DOCTOR. it is not as effective as it claims. I have tried it once and the liquid just fills in the scratches temporarily so that they become less visible. After about 15 minutes, it's gone. It may even leave sticky gookum that's hard to get off.

  • It is a stupid idea to repair it with super glue. You may ruin your glasses. Why not take them to the glasses store and ask the professional person to repair it? It won't cost much or they may even do it for free if it is an easy case.

  • They are designed for different purposes. Bike goggles are used to prevent wind and other particles getting into eyes. Its design is similar to sunglasses. They are not as strong as basketball goggles because basketball goggles have a strap which can prevent the goggles falling down. What's more, basketball goggles are impact resistant. So you'd better not use bike goggles for basketball.

  • It would depend on if they have the contacts of your prescription in stock. If your eyes fit some average,it is possible that you will get them the same day. If it is the first time your wear contacts, the optomitrist will give you a pair of "tester" contacts and decide which type suits you best.

  • Yes they can. Because diabetes can cause diabetic retinopathy and there will be some changes in your eyes if you have diabetes. If he told you have diabetes, you need to be checked again by a physician.
