My first appointment was 3/5/11. I paid full price for gas-perm lenses. By DECEMBER and around 15 trips later it was determined that Dr. Waclawski was unable to fit me. I ended up with soft lenses. The kicker was he charged me another $100 fitting fee because the first $100 I paid was in March when this whole process began and a fitting is only good for 6 months. I spent months driving back and forth to his office while he tried to fit me...apparently it was my fault that he was unsuccessful and I was charged another $100 for it. Since this whole process took almost a year and it is now 2012 my insurance would have covered the cost of my contacts if they would have given me back the money ($410) I spent in March 2011 for contacts I paid for and never received...

So many complaints... & not enough room here.
Undertrained sales Sales staff did 80% of eye exam, the doctor spent less than 5-8 minutes examining me.
They did get my perscription wrong the 1st time glasses were presented to me.
Sales staff was very high pressure, mostly to Up-selling me into expensive Lense coatings, scratch resistance, & insurance coverage.>without providing me a written description or limits of it. Sales Staff was incompetent in their computer ordering system, the girl had to interrupt my exam time, with going to ask management how to do her job. the Store personnel in general did not know their frames selections & materials. And Store Management Lied to covered up the problems....

  • For your round face, you'd better choose frames with oval, rectangular, or square shape, never choose small and round face which will make your face look rounder.

  • Transition glasses are the same as photochromic glasses, whose lenses will change from clear to dark if they are exposed to UV rays. This kind of glasses can block 100% UV rays. They usually cost $50-$200. Hope this helps you.

  • It is possible for a glaucoma patient to undergo cataract surgery. However, there are risks to have cataract surgery and there are even higher risks if you have glaucoma. So before you go to have cataract surgery, you should talk with your surgeon about these risks and the benefits of the surgery.

  • Progressive lenses are also called no line bifocals, they have all bebefits of bifocals and trifocals. They can ensure clear vision at all distances, for near distance, far distacne and also mid-range distance. For they have no lines in the lenses so they won't reveal that the wearer is wearing bifocals. Single vision lenses are for special purpose for one person to have one prescription to see at all distance. They can be used for "distance only" or "near vision" (reading only).

  • Normal contacts have only one power, either for far or near. While astigmatism contacts have two powers in the lens, one is for astigmatism, the other is for far or near.

  • Of course not.The color of your eyes is inherent,it can't be changed by anything.

  • Why not get them online? I know some stores offer oversized sunglasses at relatively affordable price. Firmoo is the most impressive, for high quality glasses and the price are almost 80% lower than that of brick and mortar stores. Check out at http://www.firmoo.com/wrap-around-rx-sunglasses.html

  • If you have problem seeing near distance, you need to wear a pair of reading glasses to help you read books or seeing things in the near part, or your vision will become worse. If you don't have problem seeing near distance, then you don't need to use a pair of reading glasses. The best for you is to go to your eye doctor to have your eyes examined and ask suggestions from the doctor.
