Born on December 4, 1966 in New York, Fred Armisen is known to be a musician, comedian and an actor. His mother was Venezuelan while his father is of German and Japanese ancestry. Armisen began his career in 1988, moving to Chicago to play the drums on the rock band Trenchmouth. At the time, his interests veered towards performing on television. It took quite a while for him to break through, so he stuck to his music. Later on, he found himself touring with Blue Man Group and Those Bastard Souls. He has also been noted for playing the drums for Les Savy Fav.
Fred Armisen is famous for his work on Saturday Night Live, which he joined in 2002. This was due to his appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and for voicing characters in Crank Yankers and Adult Swim. Before that, he was seen on the TV series Reverb. He even directed and wrote the short film Guide to Music and South by Southwest in 1998.
