More info about John Lennon
John Lennon formed his first band, The Quarrymen (after Quarry Bank High School, which he attended) who, with the addition of Paul McCartney and George Harrison, later became The Beatles. Lennon embarked on a solo career that produced the critically acclaimed albums John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Imagine, and iconic songs such as "Give Peace a Chance" and "Imagine". After his marriage to Yoko Ono, he changed his name to John Ono Lennon. Lennon disengaged himself from the music business for years to devote time to his infant son Sean, until re-emerged in 1980 with Double Fantasy. He was murdered three weeks after its release.
