Uptown Vision does not stand behind their products. The frames of the glasses I purchased broke around the eye while I was wearing them. Several of the employees are condescending. I recommend using another optometrist

  • It's the same with that for regular contacts because the eye doctor won't know your prescription before they take the eye exam for you. That means no matter you have prescription or not, the work of eye doctor will be the same.

  • The price of the eyeglass lenses varies depending on several factors, such as, the material of the lenses, the coatings of the lenses and some special add-ons. So you should go to the optical store to get the detail.

  • $800-$1000 is quite a large amount for colored contact lenses .I think $400 is enough for ordinary ones .But if you want brand contacts which can be much expensive ,it is another story . Anyway ,more is better than less .

  • I guess it is not a big problem according to what you described . It won't cost much .But if it designer it will still cost a bit more to fix than a normal pair over all. As I estimate , it might cost $20-$30 . Take it back to the place where you bought it and they may charge less .

  • Generally a pair of D&G glasses would cost around $150-$200 . If you are not sure ,you can go to their official site to find the price of the one you like .General vision insurance may provide a certain amount of dollar for the purchase of eyeglasses . Example $250 frame only (no lenses), insurance will allow for $110 frame, you have to pay $140 by yourself .

  • If you do need an eye exam,it is about $90 at Lenscrafters.I think Walmart is much cheaper which is around $70. Actually, there is no need to have an eye exam if you want to buy non prescription contacts. You can get them from any over-the-counter store or online without a prescription. {answer} I think you don't need to have your eyes examined as you are ready to buy non prescription contacts.

  • You'd better get the contact lenses at the real optical store. The optometrist will give you an eye exam, so your contacts are made based on your own prescription. You should buy reputable ones with the good quality, becsuse the contact lenses touch your eyes directly. The contacts cost usually depends on your contact lens prescription, the type of contacts , where to buy them, and so on. Personally think If you are nearsighted and are prescribed a popular brand of disposable soft contact lenses, these lenses usually are sold at a retail price of $22 to $26 for a box of six lenses. You can also shop around by yourself to know the exact information.

  • The price of contact lenses depends on many factors, such as, the type of the contacts , the prescription and the place you buy. However they are usually around 30 plus dollars per box and each box has six monthly lenses . You put them onto your top of index finger and then touch your finger to your eye. Once the contact lenses touch your eyeball, you will feel cold and then you move your eye around to make the contact in place. You need to put your contacts in the solution of the contact case to disinfect your contacts every night.

  • The price of high index bifocal glasses vary a lot depending on the brand and style you choose . You can get it quite cheap less than $100 from online stores .If you want the lenses to be as thin as possible , you are expected to pay at least $150 for it . My bifocal glasses cost $55 and they are quite convenient to use . But if you want a "hoity-toity" designer one , special coating , it can cost more than $300 ,I think .
