Uptown Vision does not stand behind their products. The frames of the glasses I purchased broke around the eye while I was wearing them. Several of the employees are condescending. I recommend using another optometrist

  • I never heard that the insurance has something to do with the eye doctor. You should go to ask your optician.

  • older people usually need the bifocal glasses because they have presbyopia and can't see close things clearly . Young persons can also wear bifocal glasses if they don't want to take the glasses on and off frequently cuz wearing glasses when they don't need would affect your vision . so it won't be strange for a 14-year-old child to wear bifocal glasses .

  • I guess there is nowhere to get non prescription reading glasses . Reading glasses are used for people who age 40s and have presmyopia or have reading problems to help correct the focus .But if you have perfect vision , they are useless for you .

  • I guess that maybe caused by some infections or migraines. Some people get a blurred vision and headache which is a "aura" of migraine. You may go to the ophthalmologist to have a careful eye exam, not only for her prescription but also for eye diseases. If still shows nothing unusual, please let her do a body check, especially for her brain.

  • First you will have an optometry. Then the doctor will have you read the chart on the wall. Finally the doctor will decide whether you are nearsighted or farsighted according to your prescription.

  • You can get them from some online stores which don't need the copy of prescription but I will not recommend it .An eye exam is needed before wearing contacts because the doctor will check whether you are irritating to the contacts and the curvature of the cornea are suitable for wearing contacts . He will make sure your eyes are healthy and you don't have any problems with dry eyes and allergies. He also need to teach you how to put them in, take them out, clean them and take care of them .Also you should see that on every contact lens container saying "Federal law prohibits dispensing without a written prescription."

  • You need to see a prefessional eye doctor not an optometrist who cannot do in most states. An eye physician specialist, called an ophthalmologist is the best choice but it may be more expensive and harder to get an appointment with them. However, you must see your doctor as quickly as possible.

  • An doctor will use a cover test, visual acuity test, vergence test, or suppression test to check for double visions. Actually it's not so exactly, they will combine with what you say to tell whether you have double vision . A doctor cannot "see" if you are seeing double. The double vision occurs in your brain where vision is processed.

  • First they will put eye drops in your eye, then they will use a special microscope to look into yur eye for internal swelling or something. They also can detect the changes your eyes have when your eyes get infected.

  • Yes.They usually can. If they can't, you'd better go to a ophthalmologist and they will treat for you.
