  • It depends .they can vary a lot according to the brands ,style , material and other factors . You can call them using the number on the top of their site and ask for a definite answer . Tell them what kind of glasses you need .

  • If you have a copy of your prescription which is not out of date or you know the number of your eyes , you can get them online . there should be a form for you to fill in the number so that they can make the lenses you need . I know eye exams do cost an arm and a leg .It is better to have vision insurance which can save you a lot .

  • It has nothing to do with using reading glasses. what happens is that in Brazil or in places with tropical climate, there is much light, it justifies the increase of people with problems in the sights, but it is not only this reason, the factor has biological and genetic too. Not all people who have problems with views, but almost half the population has some degree. People who read poorly, as in dark, high brightness ..... probably you may also have a problem in view, not necessarily with much reading or study.

  • It's the same with that for regular contacts because the eye doctor won't know your prescription before they take the eye exam for you. That means no matter you have prescription or not, the work of eye doctor will be the same.

  • Never lay your glasses face down. Keeping the lens surface face up prevents them from coming in contact with things that can scratch the lenses.Store your eyeglasses in their case when you're not using them. It keeps dust and particles off and prevents them from being inadvertently crushed or damaged if something falls or gets dropped on them. when you clean them , use eyeglass spray, liquid cleaner, or just warm water and a little dishwashing liquid. Gently cleanse the lens surface and rinse off or wipe off any residue. Never use chemicals not specifically designed for lenses.

  • it should depend on which vision insurance you have . Vision insurance policies typically cover routine eye exams and other procedures, and provide specified dollar amounts or discounts for the purchase of eyeglasses and contact lenses. Some vision insurance policies also offer discounts on refractive surgery, such as LASIK and PRK. If you are not sure ,why not call the insurance center and get a definite answer ?

  • With reading glasses, the powers are particularly adjusted for the reading distances, But if you use it to see things far away which is more than the certain distance , it will blurry your eyes .If you don't need them ,don't wear them .Wearing it once for 6 hours may not affect your vision much .

  • the best brand of contacts lenses is solotica , it makes the most relistic look in colored contacts, but it is hard to get it in USA since it locates in Brazil and also expensive . For other brands ,I will suggest Freshlook which own the widest users . it can also offer free trials and you can have a try to apply one .
