  • I think you'd better wear glasses that are specific to your prescription, neither weaker nor stronger. But I've heared that some of the optician let patients to wear weaker prescription glasses to make their eyes health again, I don't know if it is possible. You can check this at your eye doctor.

  • I just had lasik last Thursday & would highly recommend it! The first step is to have a lasik evaluation. This exam SHOULD be free at whatever laser facility you choose. It is basically to determine if you are a candidate or not. Your eyes will be dilated that day and they will do multiple tests to check the overall health of your eyes. The procedure itself was so much better than I thought it would be! The surgeon talks you through the whole thing and its over before you know it!

  • You should use the eye drops according to the safty information (use it for the specific symptom) or use it under the instruction of your eye doctors. If you use it wrongly, maybe it will be harmful.

  • Generally speaking, it takes no sooner than 2 months for the prescription to be stable after lasik surgery. Discomfort and blurry vsion is rare and minimal, not to speak it is 6 months after the surgery. Usually vision is immediately improved but may fluctuate for several weeks. But it may keep stable for no more than 2 months. You'd better go back to where you have done the surgery to have your eyes checked.

  • Be careful before putting any prescription drops into your eyes if you are not sure if you have symptoms that are suitable for this drops, otherwise it may cause your problem would become worse or it may cause other infections. You'd better have your eyes carefully examined and let the opticians or your eye doctor to prescribe the best treatment for you.

  • The price varies from place to place .what I know In New York City is: Contact Lens exam: $125(sperical Rx) - $ 175(astigmatic Rx, gas permeable lenses , etc) Eye Exam : $75 Emergency visit : $55 VF/DFE/Fundus Photos: $20 each. Only for your reference !

  • if you have no way to get out of staring at the computer , there is no way to keep an healthy eye cuz your eyes need serious rest .the best way is to force your eyes to have a rest for even 30 secs one or two hours .download an application that will block the screen every hour to make you have a rest . It won't affect your work . Some lubricating eye drops will help relieve the tiredness but can't prevent anything frome happening .

  • First contact wearer will always feel confused about this , but it can never become a challenge for an optist .You just need to take the prescription to your friendly neighborhood optometrist and let him deal with it . It is easy for him to make toric lenses for your left eye and regular lenses for your right eye.

  • Contact lenses work well for others will not surely work for you .I think there is no best brand ,also there is no specified contacts brand working well for all people . Different persons feel comfortable in different brands . As you have dry eyes , it is better for you to have an eye exam and decide whether you are the right candidate for contacts .

  • Different place have different law. You'd better know well the law related. I know that if you have not paid in full the examination fees, or the necessary examinations and follow-up checks have not been completed, then your doctor can refuse to give you your contact lens prescription.
