This time they came back as single vision, but for DISTANCE! What good are those glasses to someone ... are not right. I asked for them to be single vision, computer/reading glasses. Uptown Vision does not stand behind their products. The frames of the glasses I purchased broke around the eye while I was wearing them. Several of the employees are condescending. I recommend using another optometrist

  • most sunglasses have protection for the sunshine, since you just buy them for driving, the most important factor for you is the function of protection not decoration, right ?If you have the habit of shopping online ,there are many options especially when they have a discount .

  • Although doing eye exercises won't improve eye vision, it can strengthen eye muscles to keep your eyes healthy. What's more, some kinds of food are good for our eye vision.Carrots, milk, cheese, egg yolk and liver which are rich in vitamin A, can avoid getting dry eye. Eating a moderate amount of fish can lower the chance of getting AMD. So adding these kinds of food into your diet can improve your vision to some degree.

  • It depends. It does work for some people, but not all of the people. When I first have an eye exam, I get a weak pair of prescription glasses but I seldom wear them. Since then my eyesight didn’t go down but my astigmatism has gotten worse. The doctor told me that I should wear glasses most of the time. Some people think the eye exercises would help them improve their vision while some people don’t think so.

  • You’d better go to see an eye doctor to find out what the problem is.The doctor will give you a proper treatment. There aren’t any eye exercises that will cure eye problems.

  • That depends on a few factors, such as , the location, the material of the lens, and so on. Lenses usually range from 50 dollars to 300 dollars.

  • Doing some eye exercise regularly, such as, palming, shifting and swinging, and focusing on near and far objects, can help your vision a little over time. However, they can’t help you get rid of your eyeglass or contacts.

  • Reading glasses would not work for you when you read on the computer. They are only needed when you have difficulty reading the small texts on the books. If you wear reading glasses for computer use, you may feel blurry and get a headache. It is better for you to get a pair of non prescription computer glasses which are specially designed for computer users as you have good vision. It can help ease the tiredness when reading for a long time.

  • Hi! It depends from person to person, many find that only 0.25 have no difference, but some people are more sensitive. You can make a multifocal glasses yes, but the peripheral vision , cuz it will be somewhat distorted because of astigmatism (distortion) that all sides have multifocal, but some have less, others more. If you wear glasses only for reading it, away you do not need glasses, you can make an intermediate glasses with lenses. It means having the middle ground and near, more free from distortion and wider fields. This lens is ideal for people who work very closely with the vision (eg architect, asrtista plastic).

  • I guess you are meaning make your glasses and the cheap reading glasses you bought in the market into one lens ? There is no way to work on the original lenses ,and you need to get a new pair of bifocal glasses . The upper part is for close work such as sewing and the lower part is for regular vision.
