Of course there are some helpful home remedies to treat eye cold and I will share them with you. Eye cold is a type of acute viral infection whose symptoms vary from red eye, itchy eye to watery eye. And the most important way to avoid and alleviate eye cold is reducing any kind of contact with the sources of infection, like viruses of adenoviruses, herpes simplex, mumps and measles. Do not touch your eyes any more because this will make things complicated. Try to clean your eyes more which can help get rid of the further infection of dirt and viruses. You can also apply warm or cold compresses to the eye which is proved to be helpful to treat eye cold either. A soothing eye drop is supposed to be used if you suffer from eye pain along with eye cold. Oh, you should take off the contact lenses that you are wearing now because they may have be infected also. You can wear a new pair if necessary.

Well, generally speaking, an eye cold is a type of acute viral infection. For the symptoms, redness, itching eye and tearing eyes can be the common ones. Also, eye colds generally do not respond to antiviral drugs. That means when eye cold occurs, you may need to take some ways but to have a good rest and wait for the virus to run its course. Cold compress can relieve the symptom too. For example, you can put some cool tea bags, which contain a high concentration of the chemical epigallocatechin gallate. And they act as an anti-inflammatory agent. So that it can be effective. Anyway, you can have a try.
