Most patients will see well enough to drive without glasses the second day after the procedure. Thereafter, a gradual improvement in vision is expected as further healing occurs over the next few weeks. Vision is usually stable in a month's time. Some patients may have trouble with glare and seeing haloes during the first few weeks. Those with naturally big pupils or with correction done for high myopia are more likely to be affected. In most cases, these complaints will lessen or go away after six months.
