Can cigarette smoke damage your eyes?

My father always smokes at home and I really can' t stand the cigarette smoke. Sometimes, I feel my eyes stings when sitting next to him. Does that mean my eyes are damaged by his cigarette smoke?

    Yes, cigarette smoke can do serious damage to your eyes on the long run. As a survey showed, 20% cataract are caused by smoking. Also, there are many harmful ingredients in cigarette like nicotine, as they enter your eyes which are really sensitive, your eyes may be allergic, irritated or even infected.

    Yes, smoking cigarettes will damage your eyes because of the stimulating irritates. You could find that eyes will become yellow if you smoke a lot or under the environment of smoking for a long time. You may get the high possibility to get the problem at the liver. Thus, you should not smoke a lot and keep the healthy diet to make your eyes keep moisture and bright.

    As we all know that smoking is bad for smokers and the person around him/her, it not only can cause the damage of lung and heart, but also the eyes. It can cause cataracts and macular degeneration. Tell your father stop smoking if you fell eyes sting because it could be caused by cigarette smoke.
