There are two possible causes for your watery eyes. 1.Your eyes may be hit by cold air, resulting in watery eyes. In this case, you need a pair of goggles when you are riding your bike. 2.You may have dry eyes recently. Do you also feel red eyes, itchiness, pain or foreign feelings in the eyes? If so, your watery eyes when riding bike must be caused by dry eyes.

If it is the first time that you get watery eyes when you are riding a bike, then there may be several reasons. First of all, there maybe some great wind on the day when you were riding a bike, and the wind blowed in the direction right opposite the direction towards which you were riding. Therefore, the wind blowed into your eyes making them very dry thus causes your eyes getting watery. You could buy a pair of goggle which can protect your eyes from big winds when you are riding. Secondly, there maybe some sands or particles of dust in that day when you were riding and the sands or dust had got into your eyes and your eyes had to make the foreign objects out of the eyes, thus your eyes getting watery so that the sands or dust could flow out of the eyes by themselves. If your eyes got twitching at that time, it is more likely this case. And you can also try wearing a pair of goggle when riding. Thirdly, it might be trachoma that may be caused by virus infection or some other irritant if the watery eyes got continuous. You should go to the doctor's for an eye examination as soon as possible. Pay attention that you do good job of eye hygiene and have adequate rest.

Well, for your situation, it is hard to say what the real cause for watery eyes is. In my opinion, if you have watery eyes while biking, it can be because of the wind and sand in the air. And they can just be the irritants in your eyes. If your eyes are irritated by them, eye problems may occur. For example, your tear system can be harmed. And then, watery eyes can be possible. To get rid of it, you may need to have some ways to treat it. Just have a pair of eye patch when you ride bike. Anyway, be careful about it.
