Well, yes, it is kind of contagious, so when you suffer from it, you need to be careful about it. Generally speaking, when suffer it, some other symptoms, such as photophobia, or extreme light sensitivity, blurred vision and pain in the eye develop. Also, the eyelid becomes swollen and scarred, and the eyelashes turn inward, irritating and scratching the cornea, the covering of the front of the eye. In some serious cases, partial or complete blindness may be possible too. Because it is contagious, patients should just take more care of their eyes, so that it will not transmit to others. By the way, chlamydia eye infections are treated with antibiotics.

You should better use some eye drops to moisture the eyes to get rid of the watery symptom and your redness and dryness of eyes. You should better have the good rest and use some medical care to treat your eyes problem.

Chlamydia eye infection is contagious. Chlamydia can infect the eye by the remaining bacteria on the hands after touching the genital. The infection is called conjunctivitis or pink eye. As is known, pink eye can be spread through hand contact. To prevent the contagion, you and the people around you should form a habit of washing hands frequently. Besides, you should use your own articles of everyday use and do not share them with others. It is also necessary for you to stay at home to avoid contagion, for you may spread the bacteria when you are in populous places. Antibiotics can be used to treat chlamydia eye infection. If the corneal is seriously damaged, you can receive corneal transplant.
