You should go for a contact lens fitting .The doctor will check whether you are irritating to the contacts and the curvature of the cornea are suitable for wearing contacts . He will make sure your eyes are healthy and you don't have any problems with dry eyes and allergies. He also need to teach you how to put them in, take them out, clean them and take care of them .Also you should see that on every contact lens container saying "Federal law prohibits dispensing without a written prescription."

If you have done the contact lens fitting before , you don't need to do that again. If not, it is highly recommended for your eye health.

Surely you need. Otherwise you may screw up your eyes.
