How to get an eye prescription for reading glasses?

Is it the same as the prescription I got from my eye doctor? From where can I see this prescription is for reading glasses?

    Yes, reading glasses RX is the same as the prescription that you get from your eye doctor. But you should tell your eye doctor that you want to have a pair of reading glasses so that they would give you the ADD value.ADD means near addition which is used for making single vision reading glasses, computer glasses, bifocal & progressive eyeglasses. In USA and some other countries, eye doctors are required by Eyeglass Rule to release a copy of your prescription after each eye exam at no extra cost.
