Can astigmatism cause blurry vision?

Sometimes when I try to focus on something my vision gets blurry. My mother has astigmatism so I wonder if I also have it and cause the blurry vision?

Yes. astigmatism can cause blurry vision. However, blurry vision may be caused by some other factors, like dry eyes, allergies and eye fatigue. So you should go to see an doctor to determine what cause your blurry vision and then give some special treatments.

Astigmatism can be cause by genetic factor, you need to have an exam to make sure if you have astigmatism.Blurry vision can be caused by overusing your eyes. Try to close your eyes for seconds and do some eye exercise.
