Polarized lens won't reduce reflections from light but reduce the amount of light passing through the lens. However, anti-reflective coatings are made to cancel out the light from both front and back of your glasses lens.

Polarized lenses can change the direction of lights that come into your eyes and make them horizontal. Instead of light being scattered in all directions in more usual ways, polarized lenses make reflected light travel in a more horizontally oriented direction and thus give you a better view.
