Is it normal to feel sting with eye drops?

I have had pink eyes for 3 days now and my doctor gave me some certain eye drops. But I feel sting after i put them in for about 2 minutes. Is that normal? And how long does it take for pink eyes to go away completely?

    Most eye drops will have the side effects that they will have a little bit of sting or burn. So it is normal to feel sting after putting them in. it will take one week or 10 days to completely get rid of it.
