Can I use regular and prescription eye drops together for pink eyes?

I have pink eye and my doctor gave me Tobramycin eye drops. But my eyes are still red and look really bad. Can I use over the counter eye drops in that are designed to treat red eyes with the Tobramycin eye drops to treat it?

It is not suggested to use them together and it would not make you recover more quickly. The redness are supposed dissipate after you use Tobramycin for a few days. Once the infection is cleared up, the redness would disappear soon. But you should use the drops following your doctor's instruction strictly.
