Am I qualified to get a free eye test through the NHS?

My scheduled eye exam is in November, and I am now claiming benefits and pregnant. My vision seems to get worse now. When I went into the doctor office, they told me despite I was on benefits and haven't had a NHS voucher that I wasn't entitled to it. But I really need eye exam and new glasses. Do I need to pay for a eyetest and glasses?

Since you are on certain benefits and you feel your eyesight has got worse, it can be regarded as a good reason to have an early test. So you are qualified to have free eye test through the NHS and get a voucher towards the cost of your glasses.
