Is there any difference between floaters and visual snow?

What do people usually see when they have floaters or visual snow? Does visual snow need treatment?

Visual snow is much similar to floaters but The visual snow is clearly the MOST annoying. They are the grey dots that flicker, just like on TV. My whole night vision is impaired by this random noise. Just like myopia or hyperopia, they are considered by the mainstream to be untreatable.

Visual snow looks like thousands of tiny flashing lights on a back ground, like a TV screen. While floaters can look like dots, tiny flies, floating in your eye, which is the mark on your retina.
