Why do I have mild pain and swelling under eye?

Recently under my left eye I noticed slight pain and then it began to swell. Now it seems to be worse and I wonder it will affect my vision. Have you ever had similar problem and how do you solve it?

It may be caused by Blocked Puncta. It allows tears to drain the eye into the nose. There is a small hole on the top and bottom eye lid, in the corner. It can get clogged, infected, blocked. This can cause swelling and pain in the corner of the eye like everyone has mentioned.

You may get stye which is a kind of bacterial infection. As the oil gland at the base of the eye was blocked, then your eye began to swell. Don't worry about it. Just leave it for a week or so. It will disappear on its own very soon.

You eye might be infected. You can use a warm compress on it a few times a day. It usually disappears by itself. If this doesn't work or it becomes even worse, you should go to see an doctor.

It sounds like a stye. Press the corner of your eyes to see if there is a small bump. I had one recently and it had the same symptom with you. Don't rub your eyes. Use some antibiotic eye drops.
