Does anxiety really cause eye twitching?

Is a twitching eyelid a sign of stress? How to stop my eyes from twitching? Any good treatments? Thank you in advance!

    Yep. You may get it all the time when you are anxious. It usually starts with an abnormal or excessive blinking that leads to irritation to the eyes. One that cause this is when we are expose to bright lights and when we are under a great deal of stresses, even acute anxiety can sometimes results in eye twitching. Our bodies are remarkable machines, capable of doing extraordinary and unusual things at times. Eye twitching may be nothing more than a sign you need to take it easy, or need a little R&R, as much as it may be a sign that something more serious is going on, in some cases, someone may be able to confirm that eye twitching occurs in certain situations such as before a big meeting or especially anxious situation.

    Yes, it can cause the eye twitching. The eye twitching is known as blepharospasm, is involuntary eyelid twitching. It is a kind of muscle spasm, but the exact cause of it is still unknown. But some sign could be the sign of it, such as the anxiety. However, the normal eye twitching is not harmful and stops naturally. Some people would unconscious frown when getting anxiety, the muscle around the eye would be affected. Hence, you had better take deep breath and relax.
