Are Toric Contact Lenses safe to wear?

I have mild Astigmatism and one of my friends recommend me Toric Contact Lenses. What are Toric Contact Lenses? Are they safe to wear?

    The toric contact lenses is a type of contact lenses that made from the same materials as regular contact lenses. And toric contact lenses can be made both soft or RGP. Compared the regular contact lenses, toric contact lenses are different because of their design of the lenses.     Generally speaking, there are 5 kinds of people who are suitable to wear Toric Contact Lenses. 1、the astigmatism degree is equal or greater than 75. 2. Have a high requirement with the oxygen permeability of glasses lens. 3. prefer comfortable contacts and wish have a good vision correction effect. 4. Poor eyesight stability and lead to wear failure. 5. People with congenital astigmatism. Toric Contact Lenses, some parts of it are thick, some are thin. This kind of lens has two big function: on one hand, it could correct astigmatism, on the other hand, it could correct myopia or farsightedness. In terms of function, Toric Contact Lenses are better than Common contact lenses, if you are bothered with the problem of astigmatism or you have myopia and farsightedness at the same time, you can choose Toric Contact Lenses. But if you want have a good vision as usual when you consider it, you must go to the normal eye institutions, because it has a very strict requirement of test due to this kind of lenses is special and the production needs through individual. By the way, if your astigmatism degree is higher, try the hard lenses, such as RGP, rigid contact lenses due to they have better correction effect.

If you have washed your hands, then touch the lenses using a pointer finger so that it will lightly stick up. Anyway, it is safe to wear Toric contact lenses.

    Yes, it could. The toric contact lens has two different lenses thus it could correct both astigmatism and nearsightedness or farsightedness. That is to say, it's a kind of corrective contact lens with soft or rigid gas permeable material as other regular contact lenses. However, the toric contact lenses have to keep the same orientation of eye movement to keep visual acuity. If you have astigmatism and one of the distance eye vision problems, you had better choose it. Otherwise, it's not safe and useful this kind of contact lens.
