Can eyeglass lenses get glare-reduction coating after they have been put in the frame?

Just got glasses for the first time in about twenty years and forgot to specify that the lenses needed that coating that reduces glare and reflection. Can I still get it done?

There is nothing to be down to remove the scratches out of your eyeglass lenses. You have to replace the lenses.

Yes you can. You can take your eyeglass back to store where you bought them and tell the them that you want the coating on eyeglass lenses to reduce the glare. They will do it for you. Usually you can get your eyeglass back the same day.

It depends. If the optician just stored the lenses for you for a few hours or a few days, they can have your lenses coated. But if your glasses have been used for a very long time, you can't have your lenses coated. You can have your next pair of glasses coated.

I suggest you to consult the optician first. Some people often said that old lenses can't be coated but I think they can have your old lenses coated if you pay them for that. But I guess there might be some further problems. So you can ask the optician why they refuse to have your old lenses coated.

They can be coated but the coating may get off from your lenses because they can't totally attach to the old lenses as they do on the new lenses. It means that they will not work for you for a very long time. So you'd better consider about this.
