Firstly, the excessive aqueous production would cause high eye pressure. The aqueous is a clear fluid that is produced in the eye by the ciliary body. The ciliary body produces too much aqueous, the pressure in the eyes higher. Or inadequate aqueous drainage could cause high eye pressure as well. The eye trauma is another possibility to cause high eye pressure, because an injury of the eye can influence the balance of aqueous production and drainage from the eye. Additionally, some certain medications have side effect of causing high eye pressure in certain persons.
