It is not safe for you to scuba dive after the cataract surgery even if you wear the swimming goggles. Because the water contains a lot of bacterium which may get your eyes get infection, you'd better not go to scuba dive. In addition, you should protect your eyes carefully.

Well, generally speaking, you are not supposed to have scuba diving in the first two weeks. As we know that when you go diving, your eyes will be moistened by the sea water. And the sea water is salty, so it can hurt your eyes. At the same time, it can also infect your eyes because of the viruses which invaded in your eyes. Even after the first two weeks, I will suggest you should be careful about your eyes, so that you can not get hurt or have infection by it. Since the eyes after surgery are very sensitive and fragile, you should pay more attention to avoiding the infection. For example, you should avoid eye injuries by wearing a protective shield at night and with naps until you are advised by your doctor. Also, you should remember not sleep on the side of the operated eye for the first night.
