It will not be dangerous if you choose the good hospital with the high technologic skill. When you take the strabismus surgery, you will absolutely use the anesthetic. Thus, there is no pain. And the surgery is effective and safe. If you have the strabismus disease, you could have a try.

Yes, mostly it is safe. And it is also involving anesthesia when you take the strabismus surgery. So, i think you may not feel too much painful. But like other eye surgery. It is also risks like infection, and dry eyes after the surgery. But personally, the risks were minimal compared to what we reward. Besides, such risks is possible to happen, not must be happen. So, i think if you need strabismus surgery, it is worthy to have a try.

Well, first, you should know that strabismus surgery is related to the alteration of the length of eye muscles, so the eyes are in alignment. By taking this surgery, it can shorten one or more of these muscles to reline the eyeball. In most cases, this surgery is done in children under general anesthesia. But on the other hand, this type of anesthesia in all cases takes away any pain. For the side effects, after the surgery, the eyes can be a bit sore but pain medication is rarely needed. So you should not need to be too worried about it. Also, you should know that all surgery carries risks. For strabismus surgery, the main risks are under correction and overcorrection. And there are very small risks of infection, bleeding and excessive scarring. So after the after surgery, eyes are very sensitive and fragile, you should take some measures to avoid the infection. For example, you should avoid eye injuries by wearing a protective shield at night and with naps until you are advised by your doctor. And, also should be careful when you have shower, or the water will make your eyes infected.

Consider the benefits of surgery. Surgery may involve the muscles of one eye or both.It won't be so painful at the surgery moment because you are under anaesthetic, but you may feel uncomfortable after that surgery . It needs a short period to recovery, the time is depends, every people have different situation. Most of the patients will recover from the surgery soon in 1 month and their eyes would become normal ,no strabismus situations anymore. Have a try,and good luck with you.
