First of all, your situation is either symptom for pink eyes or for corneal ulcer. It is not accurate to tell by answers or even by yourself. You shall go to a doctor for a real diagnosing. Anyway, I will tell some difference between these two diseases as a reference. Both pink eyes and cornel ulcer are aroused by bacterial infection but in different place. Pink eyes happen to conjunctiva while corneal ulcer happens to cornea. For early symptoms, they both cause light fear and pain. But people still feel burning in eyes when suffer pink eyes. Pink eyes bring unknown secretion. But this secretion does no harm to eyesight. Instead of that, corneal ulcer may damage eyesight. It may leave scar on eyes and even tear up the entire corneal if there is no treatment in time. But these two have one thing in common that they may extend to each other as these two parts are very close in a same eye. Thus, you need to go to doctor soon.

The symptoms between pink eye and corneal ulcer are quite similar. Pinkeye, or conjunctivitis, is the most common eye infection, the typical one is pink eye. It is caused by bacteria or virus, but it would cure even without any treatment in two weeks. The medical treatment can accelerate the cure process that shortens in two to three days. But it has no affect to eyesight or damage to eyes generally. However, a corneal ulcer typically occurs as a red, painful eye, with mild to severe discharge and reduced vision. It have to be treated in time, otherwise it would damage to eye vision.
