Yes, it is possible to get red eye in that case. Food allergy occurs some proteins in food, like wheat, egg, milk, could not be absorbed by people, and the immune system has an abnormal reaction to the proteins as if they release immunoglobulin E antibodies and histamine. Histamine is one chemical responsible for swelling and redness in the eyes. The best treatment is to avoid the food that causes the allergy, the red eye would disappear naturally within one week. Or you can take some medicines like antihistamines for allergic reactions. At the same time, you should take an allergic check to find out the source of your food allergy, and you can pay more attention to that in daily life.

Well, so sorry to know that you have allergic reactions to food. So, to be honest, allergy is resulted from an impaired immune system, which could give rise to a lot of consequences, including allergic reactions. However, there are some tips for you. Try to take some physical exercise on a regular basis, and persist to do so. Then, get some special medical treatment from a doctor if necessary. Also, try to keep away from allergic sources. Good luck!

Well, food allergies happen everywhere. But on the other hand, it is also very serious and dangerous to have this situation. Generally speaking, when you get food allergies, it is possible for your body to react to it. For example, it can lead to black circles under eyes. Also it can cause red eyes, watery eyes, even puffy eyes. Besides, food allergies can cause havoc with your body, and signs and symptoms could be triggered by ingestion, inhalation. And the symptoms can range from a runny nose to hives, or could get as serious as difficulty with breathing. So when you have food allergies, you should go and see a doctor as soon as possible.
