Does strabismus cause blindness ?

  Well, generally speaking, strabismus can not lead to blindness. And in many cases, it can be fine with time. But in my opinion, you need to have surgery to correct. Or you can use patches and corrective glasses, which can help correct your strabismus. And you should know that strabismus is typically caused by injury to the eye orbit. And at the same time, injuries to the brain, such as with a stroke or head injury can lead to strabismus too. Also, there are also some other factors, such as sickness or stress. So you should not make you stressed. It is bad to your eyes. And you also need see the eye doctor, and he can help you.

  Don't be worried. Generally speaking, it's hardly lead to blindness because of strabismus. From a scientific point of view, strabismus is an eye condition in which one eye can focus on the objects in the proper direction while the other one wanders in another direction due to the lack of muscle control. The essence of problem is muscle, rather than vision.However, if you don't attach any importance to this question, the strabismus will give rise to amblyopia, which finally become a vision problem. It's hardly worthy of belief, but there is still have a possibility to cause blindness. Accordingly, just have a physical examination and receive treatment as soon as possible.   Actually the strabismus will not cause blindness and it is always born to be with. Sometimes people get this because of the after period bad habit of using eyes. However, the strabismus can be treated through the surgery. Usually the surgery is safe and effective. Just finding a good and reputable hospital is the good choice for treating the strabismus.
