Is it ok for a 14 year old to wear contact lenses ?

I want to wear contact lenses. But my mom suggests me not to do that because i am a 14 year old girl. What's your opinion? Is it OK if i wear contact lenses?

Really? I mean, you are so young, and you should know that your eyes are still developing and could not bear such damage brought by wearing contact lenses. Despite contacts could make you appear more charming and do not affect your image, but they are really a coin of two sides, they would inevitable give your eyes some damage. Maybe when you become a senior high school student, you are good to go.

It is said that children above 13 could wear the contact lenses. That is to say, it is ok for you to wear the contact lenses. However, there are many side effects of wearing the contact lenses, like dryness, infection and so on. You could not wear it at your early age. You'd better listen to your mother's words.

As a 14 years old student, it is better for you not to wear contact lenses. if you wear it at a young age, you may get some eye problems, such as frequent eye infections, Severe allergies, Dry eye. also, you may not enable to handle and care of contact lenses properly. if you fot nearsighted, it is better for you to wear glasses, rather than contact lenses.
