Can herpes in the eye cause blindness

  Well, generally speaking, herpes can not lead to blindness. As we know that herpes are caused by some allergies and the bacteria. And you also should know that the herpes virus can spread from the eye's surface layers to deeper parts of the cornea. And also, active herpes virus in the eye can be contagious through close contact, bringing inflammation and scarring of the cornea. And some symptoms, such as irritation, sudden and severe ocular pain, cloudy cornea and blurry vision, sore and red eye, and headache can occur. But there is nothing to do with blindness. So you do not need to worry about it.

  Yes, it is possible for you to get blindness because of herpes. Eye herpes is a kind of nature serious eyelid skin disease. The trigeminal ganglion is a varicella zoster virus that infects the undergoing radiotherapy or immunosuppressant therapy of the patients who are vulnerable to the disease incidence after lifelong immunity. It is rarely recurrence if you treat it well. When you have the herpes, you will be afraid of the light to the most degree. What's worse, you will not control your tears to some degree. The worst thing for you is that your eye nerves will be painful so much. You'd better go to see the doctor and accept the treatment as soon as possible. Or else, your eye nerves will be damaged fully which will cause the blindness.

  Well, I can see that you are quite concerned about your eye health. good for you anyway. Herpes is one of the most serious problems with our nervous systems and skins, once got herpes, it is possible to infect our eyes, leading to some other problems with our eyes and visual nerves, which could lead to blindness if serious enough, because it is quite close to our visual nerves and eyeballs. Anyway, you should figure out the problem and try to fix it.
