As a matter of fact, radial keratotomy is one of the most serious surgeries in relation to the eyes and could leave great damage to your eyes. Therefore, it would not be wise for you to take risk to wear contacts right after the surgery, maybe you are ok to wear them after several months and consult a doctor for advice. Of course if you try to wear them, you get more serious problems.

No, you can't wear the contact lenses which are bad for your eyes after the radial keratotomy. The operation principle of radial keratotomy is to use diamond knife to cut the corneal front surface side at central area and the surrounding area for deep radial layer incision. Then the intraocular pressure action is reduced. the central parts of the cornea becomes flat. And myopia state is reduced or is completely corrected through the operation. It can be used as a means of treatment of myopia, but at present it is still not perfect which has many side effects. However, after the radial keratotomy, you need to protect the eyes vision carefully. Wearing the contact lenses may let you have the eyes infection or inflammation easily. And your eyes may feel dry easily. Thus, you'd better not wear the contact lenses for look after the radial keratotomy. Or else, it may affect your eye vision badly.

Well, of course, it is bad for your eyes. According to some doctors, people who have taken this kind of surgery should not wear contact lenses, in several days. By wearing contact lenses, it will just do a harm job to your eyes, and even leading to serious problems, such as pink eyes. So just stop using contact lenses for some days. Besides, after the surgery, you should not do exercises like jumping, running. Just be careful about your eyes. Having a good rest is effective for your eyes. Also, you should pay more attention to the irritants which can make your eyes be infected easily. And, you should avoid eye injuries by wearing a protective shield at night and with naps until you are advised by your doctor.
