Well, yes, it is normal to have eye pain when the plane takes off. Generally speaking, flying can lead to eye pressure. First, you should know that if you take airplane, you will make your eyes suffer from many difficult and dangerous problems, such as the eye strains. We can say that when you take the fly, there will have gravity, and it can give you a kind of pressure on your eyes. At that moment, it can just increase the eye pressure. And then it will just affect your eyes, leading to eye pain, and sometimes, bloodshot eyes can occur too. Also, for some people who have taken some eye surgery, it can be dangerous to take a plane. But on the other hand, it will be fine in several minutes.

Ok, it is true that sometimes some of us would have painful eyes during the flight and may feel very bad. This is due to a lack of sleep, as well as the rise in your eye pressure, which generated such pains, also, it could be derived from pink eyes. So, here my advice for you is to consult a doctor and find out the possible causes before you take any further actions.

It is abnormal. When the plane takes off, you may have the unstable eye pressure. That is the main reason that causes your eyes pain. Your eyes may get the infection. That is why you feel the pain in the eyes. You should use eye drops with anti-inflammation to release the symptom. In addition, you could use the warm compress to make the eyes feel comfortable.
